And basically ended up 2 serves by the time I removed the fat. Was 4 slices in total packed to look like more and hide all the fat. Flavour was nice but we would have been better off buying double smoked bacon for 1/3 the price. Very dissapointed. Purchased at a Mooloolaba supermarket in Cotton Tree
- Sean B Added September 19, 2023★ ★ ★ ★ ☆The quality of the bacon I bought was very good, but the attempt to cater to American tastes should have been made obvious on the packaging. Thin sliced MAPLE wood smoked streaky bacon is fine if you're brought up with it (I wouldn't put honey on porthouse steak either) but it should be written large on the packaging, not in virtual fine print above the word bacon. And if it's cut that thinly then rindless would be good. A long review for a small complaint but I really can't stand maple syrup with savory bacon- it needs to be clearly marked. The bacon itself tasted stress- free and had a nice balance of fat to meat. I'd buy from Skara again but be vigilant about the description.
